For fans of Pierre Moerlin's Gong and Tunnels comes the Francesco Pinetti Ensemble. A quartet led by master vibraphonist Pinetti with electric bassist Marco Conti, drummer Dario Milan and Max Pizio playing tenor & soprano saxes and the Akai EWI (electronic wind instrument). They are augmented at various points by keyboardist Luca Garro & Carlo Nicita on flute. An extremely tight group playing with great imagination and vigor. Pinetti's compositions are first rate as well. Highly recommended!
