A guitar,bass,drums trio pounding out instrumental "fusion" influenced equally by Mahavishnu Orchestra's "Inner Mounting Flame", James Blood Ulmer's "Black Rock" and King Crimson's "Red". If anything, the Fripp influence might be the most pronounced since this music relies more on the sort of rock melodicism that shows up in King Crimson or perhaps Boud Deun rather than the overtly virtuoso bravado of John McLaughlin or other more 'jazz' oriented players. For listeners who enjoy groups like Boud Deun, Morgabl or Dyzrhythmia, Zevious really deliver the goods.
