Well, the two LPs represented by this 2-CD set have been out-of-print for well over 25 years. The collaborations between Caravan keyboardist Steven Miller and iconoclastic Brit sax player Lol Coxhill consisted of two very nice Canterbury albums on the Virgin offshoot label Caroline Records. The first release was 1972's "Miller/Coxhill....Coxhill/Miller". The second was 1974's "The Story So Far...... Oh, Really?". Each LPs featured pieces mainly by Miller on the first side and pieces mainly by Coxhill on the reverse side. They were quaint, intimate recordings that are really personal portraits of the artists. Some were duets and others had guests filling out the arrangements. Fans of the Canterbury scene in general will like these fine little gems. But, in their usual mode of operation, Cuneiform Records were not content to just re-release two extremely rare Canterbury albums. No. They have found around an hour's worth of rare demos and solo piano performances, including the 20 minutes of Delivery in concert in London in November of 1972 with Steve Miller-electric piano, Lol Coxhill-soprano sax, Phil Miller-guitar, Richard Sinclair-vocals, Pip Pyle-drums & Roy Babbington-bass! This was the band that was to become Hatfield and the North just a few months later! So, this is really an essential 2-disc set for the Canterbury fan!
