"For legal reasons, Nathan Mahl leader Guy LeBlanc had to discontinue pressing the original the Clever Use of Shadows. So once the record was sold out, he went back into the studio with his current line up of the band and did it as he originally envisioned it. What you get is four re-recorded tracks from the original album and four tracks that he originally wished to have on the CD, but were never recorded for some reason. The new tunes are quite good, too." -Wayside Music
>From the band's website: "Way back in 1995, Guy began writing a series of songs which were intended to be yet another sequel to Parallel Eccentricities (Contrast, Identity and Radio Rehab were the other previous attempts). These 8 songs have now been realized and released as Shadows Unbound. Amazingly, the original lineup of Nathan Mahl have reunited to present this set of compositions, which also features lead vocalist JP Ranger (the "fifth mahlecule" from 1983).
