Fine sympho-prog rock from New York area in late 70s. Recalls the best work by the masters (Yes,Genesis, King Crimson) while developing their own sound, too. They are very clearly the product of their influences. The keyboards are obviously from the Wakeman/Banks school. The bass player is a real Chris Squire disciple. The drummer has some real effective Bruford moves & the guitarist is pure Hackett/Howe. The singer, however, is pretty distinctive with a powerful, personal style. Having said all of that, this is some real nice symphonic rock that most think that the equal of their mentors![Synphonic]
