Well it has been a long time for Mastermind but they finally have a new full-length studio release coming out in February 2006! Until then they have released this limited edition "EP" which is basically their new "single" + some live in the studio tracks. The "single" includes 2 versions of "Broken" from the upcoming album "Insomnia" and another track from that album called "Break Me Down". Also we get a studio recording that won't be available anywhere else, a version of "Weak & Powerless" by A Perfect Circle! And to top it off there are kick-ass live-in-the-studio versions of "The Queen of Sheba" & "A Million Miles Away" (both from 'Angels of the Apocalypse'), "William Tell Overture" (from 'Brainstorm') and the blues classic "I'm So Glad" made famous in the late sixties by the band Cream! Now everytime I referred to 'single' or 'EP' above they were in quotes for a reason. This disc is over 44 mins long and while that may be a tad short in the age of the compact disc it is still long enough to be considered a full-length album by long-time prog fans! So at $7 bucks this is a real bargain! A great way to start the new year!! (Notice that we have reduced the price on their excellent live CD with Mickey Simmonds on keyboards called "Prog, Fusion, Metal, Leather, & Sweat - Live!")
