Excellent solo album from the bass player of Contraction & VEBB! Overall, Yves' solo work has a certain 'Canterbury' feel, although I am sure that it was not intentional. There are two vocal tunes which remind of Harmonium in the atmosphere but the majority of this is instrumental, sometimes using the female voice in the manner of Hatfield & the North or National Health. There are lots of nice violin passages recalling some of Jean-Luc Ponty's less jazz-oriented work and a healthy dose of excellent guitarwork courtesy of the superb Rene Lussier (member of another well-known Canadian prog band - Conventum). As bonus tracks there are three extracts from LaFerriere's music for the film "La Cuisine Rouge". If you like Canadian prog bands or Canterbury music you will enjoy this excellent release!
