Parallel Eccentricities was recorded in 1982 on 16-track tape. It was released in spring of 1983 as an LP, with Guy’s idea of a last minute cover. The original 4-piece lineup of Nathan Mahl had selected 5 songs (from their then 23 song repertoire) to showcase the writing and performing talents of the group. The only outlet available to them at the time (salewise) was gigs, and the band had a rough time setting up such with clubowners (not much has changed in this regard). Those who saw this lineup perform were often dazzled by the raw energy these young guys displayed. The cd reissue of this release contains a wonderful interactive CDRom supplement which displays the entire history of the band in images, text, music, video and audio commentary. - Nathan Mahl Website
